Not every patient can sit at a tabletop slit lamp. The BL-5100 lets you bring the instrument to them, with 10× and 16× magnification, six aperture options and controls within reach of the handgrip. Its aluminum construction keeps the body light enough to carry between appointments while providing a firm, durable housing.
Aluminum construction for the daily trip
The BL-5100 body is CNC-machined from T6 aerospace-grade aluminum. Precision machining gives the housing its shape and fit, while the metal construction provides strength without the bulk of a tabletop instrument.
Drop resistance helps the body withstand accidental knocks and falls. Vibration resistance addresses the repeated movement of carrying equipment between rooms and traveling to appointments. Both matter in a slit lamp that spends its day in your hand and travels with your kit.
Two magnifications in a handheld format
Start at 10× for a broader view, then switch to 16× to inspect a smaller area more closely. Both settings are available on the same handheld instrument.
Six aperture options at the instrument
Select from six apertures to suit the area you are examining. The controls sit on the instrument, so adjustments stay close to your grip during an examination.
Battery power, packed for transport
Battery operation lets you work without a mains lead at the patient. Between visits, the BL-5100 fits into a shaped transport case that keeps the instrument contained with your equipment.
